At long last I have a version of my Mark IV control program to share with interested TASS members.

This is the program I wrote about a while back. It runs on Windows 98 to control a Mark IV camera.

You can get the program at http://home.fuse.net/deepsky/MarkIV.zip

Just place all the contents of the zip file into a directory and run the executable. It won't try to start the camera on the first try, you'll have to run the Setup command on the Edit menu first. The help file is fairly substantial but not complete, just as the program is not complete.

When you run the program a couple of log files are generated in the image output directory, command.log and stamp.log. These files contain a list of commands executed and low level stamp communications respectively so you can see what the system was actually doing and when.

Many things need to be added and I need help making sure the system runs on a computer other than mine.

I will publish the source code before too long on the same web site.

Let me know if you have any questions or comments.

Note added May 8, 2002: In response to Tom's plea I have uploaded a new version of my Mark IV Control program. There was a timeing issue with the last version when it tried to read the data from the memory card too fast. Like the last version all the files you need are in http://home.fuse.net/deepsky/MarkIV.zip

Note added May 28, 2002: I have created and tested a new version of the Mark IV Control program incorporating the changes noted by Tom (a fix to readout sequence -- MWR) http://home.fuse.net/deepsky/MarkIV.zip
