Hello Everyone,

It has been great fun to work with all of you for the last
10 years or so.

I have just received an honor from the AAVSO which I want
to share with you.  It came with a very nice plaque.  It
will go on the wall next to my Rolls-Royce award.

I have been given honorary (life) membership "In
recognition for your promotion of amateur-professional
collaboration in astronomy; the mentoring of amateurs; and
the vast amount of your energy and funds in making the Mark
IV survey a reality."

The AAVSO letter goes on to say "Honorary (life) membership
in the AAVSO is one of our highest honors.  We have not
awarded any such memberships in decades ..."

I hope that all of you will share this honor with me.  It
would not have been possible except for your help,
encouragement, and support.
