John Greaves has published another attack on TASS - part of a broader attack on a range of people and organisations.

"I am long known for being somewhat critical of data from TASS.

That criticism was irrelevant. It didn't matter, as next to no one
bothered with it, and it lived in an obscure niche of which's
existance few knew.

Now it's in VizieR. It spits out on any spatially relevant general
VizieR search. Now folk will use it, never having read the
accompanying paper, which is one long apology and comments more than
once that the survey should've been done differently in many
fundamental aspects, and that the site is not photometrically suited,
and that despite the goodly errors quoted in the patch catalogue, the
figures show somewhat sizeable offsets as shown in the figures, and
such, and such.

Yet now it's in VizieR, with widely available V and Ic values written
all over it.

It'll be used, no matter what I think or say."
