DCS-5300
I have acquired a D-Link DCS-5300.
Dan put it on the windows network where it worked out of the box. We then
gave it an ip address that was unused on the linux network. 192.168.1.50
I just plugged it in to the linux network, brought up Firefox, and typed
in 192.168.1.50.
The camera page came up just as expected. The controls were there and I
can pan and tilt the camera. I can communicate with it and could do
things like change the IP address and such.
The problem is that there is no picture. I have tried 3 browsers, and
enabled Java etc., but to no avail.
Has anyone ever set up one of these on a linux network?
Since it is on the linux network, I presume that those of you that know
how could (right now) point the camera at me and see what I am doing.
I really would like to get this to work since it would save me many trips
up and down the spiral stairs which gets pretty old for me (at 74.9) and I
give up after a while and don't get as much done as I could.
