Data Smoothing

I have been working on the method of smoothing the data suggested by
Grezgorz Pojmanski.  My version of the method looks promising with the a
factor of two reduction in noise floor having been achieved.

I am at the stage where I am throwing out all the code and starting over
having learned a little from the first effort.

The noise seen in the tass data is a factor of 10 above the photon
statistics.  There is a gain to be made. I would be really happy with a
factor of five.

When my computer system gets back together, I will put the data sets that
I  am processing up on one of the computers so that you can all play the
"improve the data" game.

Mike Sallman tried the ensemble photometry scheme on one of the data sets
and computed for 24 hours or so with no result.  My scheme is relatively
faster processing a 4 x 4 degree field in a few minutes.

We shall see what is possible.
