Dome Stuck Open

Well, the disaster I have been fearing finally happened.  Some time yesterday 
night the South side of the dome opened up.  There is a strap that wraps 
around a pulley on a gear motor and I suspect that it pulled off the dome as 
this was a problem when we first installed the dome.  The limit switches work 
intermittently so I have to guess how long to push the buttons to close the 
dome.  

My chair got pretty wet, and a keyboard was wet enough that water poured out 
of it.  However, everything started up last night and it looks like I have a 
couple of days to fix the problem since clear weather is predicte.  Sigh!  It 
is always a struggle to keep taking data.  

I sure hope it is eventually appreciated.
