Evaluating Data

I have been looking at the data and trying to decide how good it really is.
This is an anecdotal look.

If we look at slowly varying stars, we should see a smooth curve. Miras
are great for this.

J170033.2... Is a nice Mira. RV Her The V and Ic data are both smooth over
the range. This is encouraging that the measurement is doing what it is
supposed to be doing.

J153839... Is an SRa. AY Dra. The V curve is smooth over it's wide
range, but the Ic curve has a dip in it of almost a magnitude over what is
expected. This is a similar problem to the last curve posted. Some of the
Ic data has rather low bumps in it. As I noted before the most obvious
problem was a low lying haze that seemed to affect the Ic data on TOM1 the
most.

J162907.9... Is another Mira. HT Her. The indicated noise is probably
more realistic as to what should be expected from the measurement
statistics. It is bothersome that the Ic data while brighter, is also
noisier.

J162728.2... Another SR this one V0708 Oph. What is going on here? OK, I
can believe the Ic dip could be caused by a hazy day. But how does one
explain the very large spike in V?
