You should check sometimes www.rpmfind.net.
They have a good base of rpm-s for mostly
Linux Distributions.
I don't know how it is in MDK but when
my Xwin failed some two times in the
recent time I just simple upgrade smy system
and click customize packages. 

Just my few coins to thing ;)

PS: Patrick's script make my IDS
work quite easy. For now I found two
NSVs but none from GCVS. Interesting
some 13-14 mag stars script cannot find
on USNO A2.0...
