  There are several packages one can run under Windows.  You can find
a big list of them at

  I have yet to find a general-purpose period-finding program
which runs under *nix systems.  One can find such programs in
big packages like IRAF and StarLink, but it seems to me overkill
to install one of those giant systems to solve this particular
problem.

  This is on my list of "software I ought to write sometime ..."
