Production Run
I have gone through my stack of CDs and picked out everything with an image
center between 6hrs and 8hrs. This is 26 disk V/I pairs. Including some
other regions, I have now processed 13 disk pairs with only one minor
problem.
When I am done, I should have an average of 150 measurements for each star
in this 120 square degree region. Roughly 150 measurements in V and I of
20,000 stars. This should provide a lot of data to use to study to learn
to find the variables that it contains. My plan is to put all the .cal
files on a disk and send them out to anyone that wants to look at a lot of
data.
So far, the data looks pretty good. Still, I can see some systematic
errors that I hope that we can figure a way to remove.
I am just saving the .cal output for each run. If someone wants me to save
something else, let me know.
I should take about a week to complete the processing using one computer
running at 99+.
I don't think of this as "final" processing. Just a large enough block of
data to point to the right way to do it.
