Re: David Charbonneau to talk at Fermilab
Alas, I can't make it (it's probably a 5 hour airplane ride from here) but I've
heard David Charbonneau speak: he's doing hot science with a tiny scope (albeit
with a fulltime support person, and HST photometry as followup!), and he's an
excellent speaker.
As I recall, the first observed planetary transit (of HD 209458) was observed
with the STARE scope.
Enjoy,
Gary Billings
