This is not so. I am running throught the net now to 2 Stratum 1
servers.  Tere are also 2 NAT conversions on the route. They give
references less that 1 ms apart. One is in the same city, one on the
other side of the country.

The other point, is that once NTP has calculated and written a drift
file, that value will keep the time MUCH more accurate. I see less
than a second a day from a standard Dalis clock. Not a good time
standard at all on its own.

NTP is available for NT, so even billyusers can use it.

As to the accuracy, you need to keep out every possible source of
error you can all the way. You end up with too many anyway, so don't
add to it.  Plus, it needs to be as good as possible to be able to
beat off profesional sceptics!

BTW, some one advertised a run out on GPT time references for $500
the other day on sci.geo???.gps. These are top class Trimbles.
