John Greaves:
Unfortunately there's only a single paired V and Ic observation of this compact object, which itself lives in Abell Galaxy Cluster Abell 539, but it looks certain to be a measure of this face on galaxy. The galaxy itself, or possibly its pseudo-stellar nucleus, seems to be listed as a GSC1 "non-star", GSC 0112 0718. Interestingly there's only a 2" difference between the TASS and GSC positions for this extended object (about 40" by 20" screen image guesstimate). Can't find anything but a small overexposed DSS image even using NEDS. TASS magnitudes seem in right area re identification, but NEDS data B and Rc for this object. Xray point source in 2RXP, thought possibly variable in xrays. TASS data from collected.big on CD 23 :- Temp No. Num_Obs RADEG DEDEG V Verr Ic Icerr 3979 1 79.2290 6.5530 13.63 0.17 12.68 0.07
